Before & After

This is how much my writing has changed from the beginning of the year to the end of the year; blogging has really helped my writing along the way.  I elaborate my thoughts more and put more detail in my work.

7th Grade

When I first came here in august I was thinking it would be easier than 6th because in 6th grade we had to adapt to a new environment. But boy was I wrong!

Homework every class everyday, tests, quizzes and then more tests. One time I had 4 tests in one day!

By October I was already counting the days intel summer, and wishing it would come faster. 7th grade was TUFF!

But I did learn some stuff in 7th grade like I knew how to conjugate Spanish vocab words, lean more about Texas and how Texas history is my favorite class. And most of all that 6th graders should be ready for some homework.

As the year comes to the end I really really hope 8thgrade is easier.

Best Hunt ever

It is deer season, the best time of the year. And I’m going to hunt at one of the best ranches in the world. This ranch has so many exotic animals. They have whitetail, red stag fallow, axis bison blackbuck, Sika, and my favorite oryx.

The oryx is from Africa but after a dramatic climate change they are only in Texas ranches.

We wake up, me and my dad, ready to go to the blind. We get dropped at about 6:30 in the morning and it is not much before we see a blackbuck doe. But because this ranch has too many whitetail doe we can only shot those. Another animal pops up, a axis buck but not a very big one. more animals come more axis  but mixed in is a whitetail doe.

I get the gun ready find him in my sights and BAAM! he feel over on the spot. AHH YEAH! I yell. then  I see something in the back another doe. He must of not Been startled. He comes to the feeder not noticing the other deer. Get the gun again and I pull the trigger but he moved  right as I shot and hit her on the backside. She hit the ground and started running.

Thirty minutes later we get out of the blind and walk 200 yards and find him barely still alive in a bush my friend Jett and his dad pull him out and BANG! I finished him off.

Favorite poem

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

This is poem means to me that you need for get out of the same routine every day  and try some new things because it might help you along the way.

Childhood Memory

When I was little the only thing I cared about was Scooby Doo. I had Scooby Doo stuffed animals clothes and every 16 seasons of it on T.V show. I thought it was the greatest creation in the whole wide world, I would sing the theme song while jumping on the couch and screaming it as loud as possible.

When I would watch my eyes would lite up like the sun I could wear it,hold it play with it I felt like the happiest kid in the world and nothing could not make me feel like that.

As I grew old they started to make not as  intertaining as it was when I was young . I still wish they would make Scooby Doo like they used to do. I don’t know what I would do when I was younger without Scooby Doo.

Favorite quote

One more! My coach yelled across the field. One more! He yelled again, we were going gashers which is where we full out sprint to the end of the field and back and them go again and come back and that was only one. We had to to four so basically we were sprinting 1600 yards.

He would tell us that if we did these we would be in better shape then the other teams and so far we have won all of our games.

Then when we would finish them we would call us up and we would start yelling WHO ARE WE! And we would yell CHAPS! And then he would say my favorite quote. He would yell HARD WORK! And we would yell“ PAYS OFF”!

Favorite Place

My favorite place in the world is South Padre Island or as some people call it SPI.

SPI has every thing in love especially the beach, there is so many different things you can do at the beach like surfing, boogie boarding building sand castles and just relaxing! My favorite thing to do is boogie boarding because usually there a storm one of the nights were there and the waves become massive and about 20 feet tall!

And one day were there we go to shliterbahn. The one in SPI is way better then the one in Texas in my opinion. I like it better because the rides are just as good and you only have to wait half the time. My favorite one is called Terror! It takes you up about 30 feet and drops you strait down and send you on a bunch of twists and turns intel you plunge into the frezing cold water that puts you in the lazy river and flows back to the main stream.

This is why I love to go to South Padre Island!

Why I like football

Football, it’s my favorite sport.

Its my favorite sport because you get to hit anyone on the field and not get in trouble at all! You can get all your anger and aggression out by decking someone.

I also like it because I like people trying to chase me down. When I’m running with the ball it feels like I am going even faster. And I love the feeling of running into the end zone and gaining points.

I don’t know why people don’t like football– I think it’s the best sport on earth!

Spike Down

“Yes, I got chosen,” I said when I got the email that I got on the Texas youth hunt. My dad and I packed up and we were off.

When we finally got there we went to a blind early in the morning. In about 5 minutes, we saw a doe walk up. I took my 270 rifle out of the corner of the blind and get him in my sights about to shoot him. Then the deer ran, and I wondered what spooked him…and then I see a monster 15 point buck walk to the feeder. “I wish I could shoot him,” I told my dad, but the land owner won’t let me.

We didn’t see anything else ,so we went to the house and rested until night.

Yes, it’s 5:00, time to go to the blind. We get in the car and drive to the blind. When we finally get there it was not long until we saw 6 gobblers walk up. Too bad it’s not turkey season, I thought.

The gobblers are gone now and I see something else now– a deer! A spike! I take my gun and put it in my hands. I am shaking furiously and nervous, but then I calm down, squeeze the trigger, and BANG! The deer spewed blood from his side, ran about 15 yards, stopped, then dropped.

Harley

I have only had one dog in my whole life. Her name was Harley, she was the nicest laziest dog ever.

She would always get scared during thunder storms so she would jump in your bed and lay by next to you all night long. She loved every person who petted her and would never bark or bite you. And when you were sitting down and she was lonely she would come over and put her head in your lap.

When she was ten years old her feet started not to work so well but we thought she just twisted one of them. But then over the next year in a half she could barely walk at all and my parents sat me down and said that it is time.
